'Life Unexpected's' Shiri Appleby: Cate needs to get called out, punished
So, did you watch "Life Unexpected"?
Did you love it?
Thoughts on the -- spoiler alert -- ending?
I'm of course referring to Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Baze (Kris Polaha)'s drunken hook-up.
Their reenactment of Winter Formal '95, if you will.
I mean, yes, Cate and Ryan (Kerr Smith) were technically on a Ross-Rachelesque break, but according to Shiri Appleby, what Cate did was unacceptable.
"I feel like Cate needs to get called out," Shiri says in the clip below. "[Sleeping with Baze was] pretty low, so I hope she gets punished for it."
But whom does Shiri think Cate really belongs with?
"I don't know," she muses. "I think if she can mature, she should be with Ryan because he's like a grown man. But Baze just, like, gets her going, you know?"
Appleby says it's a matter of deciding between the nice, comfortable guy that you're going to feel safe with versus the guy that's going to be a chase the whole time.
"Both sound good. And when you have one, you sort of want the other and vice versa. So I think it will be very telling of what kind of girl Cate is."
What kind of girl do you think Cate is?
My call? A confused one. But how could she not be? She's dealing with two beautiful men whom she has strong ties to.
Do you prefer one to the other?
Shiri says she doesn't.
Her take on viewers making the decision?
"They're both pretty hot, so pick away, guys. I'm happy [either way]!"
See for yourself...
