Lifetime greenlights Nicholas Sparks' Civil War series 'Deliverance Creek'
The romance whisperer Nicholas Sparks is teaming up with Lifetime to create what is sure to be the saddest, most romantic series ever.
The network has just green-lit a backdoor pilot from the romance novelist, the network announced on Wednesday (August 14). The series, "Deliverance Creek," is set at the end of the Civil War and focuses on a woman trying to defend her family's land. However, she ends up butting heads with her town's corrupt bank, which forces her to become an outlaw.
Lifetime will air "Deliverance Creek" as a two-hour TV movie that has the potential to turn into a series. This would run the same vein as the launch plan for "The Client List."
What do you think of Sparks' latest venture? Will his partnership with Lifetime equal maximal amount of tears, or will it be too much for you to handle emotionally?
