Lifetime to update Amanda Knox movie
At the time, according to NBC, Knox's family protested the network's decision to air the movie, saying it could affect an on-going appeal in the case. On Monday (Oct. 3), Knox's guilty verdict was overturned -- she was acquitted of the charges and is already headed home to the U.S.
Now Lifetime plans to update the movie, which is now slated to re-air on Tuesday evening. But don't expect an alternate ending. Instead, the network announced that it will bookend the movie with several sentences of text updating viewers on the case.
Is this fair to Knox? Should Lifetime scrap plans to re-broadcast the movie or are you content with a text update superimposed at the beginning and end?
