Lil Wayne talks seizures and retiring from rap music on 'Katie'

Lil Wayne may only be 30 years old, but the rapper is already looking into retiring. Wayne's said before that he wants to call it quits by age 35, in order to spend more time with his kids.

When appearing on the Season 2 premiere of "Katie," Wayne says all he wants to do is whatever his kids want. When host  Katie Couric questions if he'll actually be able to pull himself away from rap, Wayne says yes. "I know I'll be able to retire at 35," he explains, "because I'm so ready now."

With the health problems Wayne has had in the last several months, maybe retirement isn't such a bad idea. Wayne has suffered a series of seizures that he chalks up to "Dehydration, working too much and no sleep." He also tells Katie he's "sort of epileptic, so we had to go back in history to my past and see why this happened. My mom told me that when I was younger, I fainted on the playground. We didn't know it was a seizure then."

Among other topics discussed were Wayne taking a gun with him to school and why he's glad he dropped out.
