Linda Evangelista seeks $46K per month in child support from Salma Hayek's husband
The 46-year-old Evangelista filed papers in Manhattan Family Court seeking child support for her four-year-old son Augustin, who was fathered by French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault. Pinault, who married actress Salma Hayek in 2009, has yet to pay anything to Evangelista according to the New York Post. In an interesting twist, Hayek and Pinault have a daughter, Valentina, who will turn four in September.
Of Evangelista's request, Support Magistrate Matthew Troy told the post, "That would probably be the largest support order in the history of the Family Court." Troy will decide the final amount of child support in September.
Evangelista has requested the money to pay for a 24-7 nanny and a troupe of armed (yes, ARMED) chauffeurs among other things.
While the $46K may seem like a lot, the Pinault family is estimated to be worth $11.5 billion. Thus, assuming child support when the child reaches 18, the value of Evangelista's total request amounts to a paltry 0.07 percent of the Pinault fortune.
Evangelista only recently filed papers revealing Pinault as the child's father.
The 49-year-old Pinault is CEO of PPR, the French company that owns Gucci and Yves St. Laurent among other high-fashion brands.
