Lindsay Lohan reacts to Rosie O'Donnell bashing her for Liz Taylor role

lindsay-lohan-rosie-odonnell-today-getty.jpg Lindsay Lohan knows that she's right for the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the new biopic "Liz & Dick," regardless of what Rosie O'Donnell may think.

O'Donnell joined the "Today" show panelists Tuesday (April 24), saying Lohan isn't "capable" of the role and that "she needs a lot of help."

When fellow "Today" panel member Donny Deutsch suggested that Lohan is "our generation's Elizabeth Taylor," O'Donnell responded with, "You're out of your mind! You're a crackhead! The last thing she did good she was 16."

Lohan's publicist tells E! News, "I think Rosie should focus on her own career and stop worrying about everyone else's."

And Lohan herself reacted to the tirade Tuesday night at a Star magazine event, saying, "It's funny that someone you don't know at all can say something so intrusive and so knowing. You know, I did one of my first interviews with [Rosie] when I was little. I was so excited."

She goes on to say she has no explaining to do to O'Donnell.

"I know that I'm great. I know that I know Liz Taylor very well, and I share the same makeup artist and the same hair stylist. We've worked with a lot of the same people," Lohan says.

Do you think Lohan's right for the role? What do you think about O'Donnell's remarks?
