Lindsay Lohan's firing of lawyer leaves plea deal hanging day before new hearing
The Santa Monica City Attorney, who is prosecuting Lohan for allegedly lying to the police after she crashed her car back in June on the Pacific Coast Highway, was willing to give Lohan a plea deal that stipulated she check into "lockdown rehab" for six months in exchange for staying out of jail.
Sources tell TMZ her lawyer Holley was on her way to broker the deal with the opposing attorney and the judge, but then Lohan fired her. She hired a new lawyer, but there is no word as to what is happening with her plea deal.
There's a hearing scheduled for 8:30 a.m. PT Tuesday (Jan. 15). It remains to be seen what happens to Lohan, as she's also facing jail time for a probation violation in the jewelry heist case.
