Lohan movie rejected from SXSW festival over 'quality issues'

lindsay-lohan-the-canyons-rejected-from-sxsw-gi.jpgHow terrible must this movie be? First Lindsay Lohan's new film, "The Canyons," was rejected from Sundance. Now the actress really can't catch a break as it's also being denied a showing at South By Southwest, a film and music festival in Austin, Tex.

According to the Huffington Post, the festival is rejecting the film over "quality issues." This isn't the first bit of bad press the movie has gotten since it was announced. In addition to the Sundance snub, there was also dealing with the whirlwind that is Lindsay Lohan.

Missing days on the shoot were one thing, but working with the actress seems to be a nightmare. She has no problem bad mouthing everyone involved with her projects, even going to far as to ridicule her cast mates on set. That particular co-star was porn star James Deen.

"The Canyons" is written by author and Twitter loudmouth Bret Easton Ellis, and is a "contemporary noir" with a long, rambling plot synopsis that talks about a group of people in their 20s who have a chance meeting that descends into paranoia. If the trailer is any indication, it's about people yelling at each other in black and white.
