'Lone Ranger' trailer reveals Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer in action

Johnny-Depp-Tonto-Armie-Hammer-Lone-Ranger-Disney.jpgAfter yesterday's tease of still photos and a poster, Disney has officially dropped a full length trailer for next summer's "The Lone Ranger," starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.

Like the stills, the trailer spotlights the film's epic Western vibe and adds a heavy dose of contemporary blockbuster style action. It definitely feels like a massive movie, and with a $250 million reported budget, it should.

The movie has looked like a risky play for some time now, and almost didn't even get made. Disney shelved the entire project in summer 2011 in the wake of the failure of "Cowboys & Aliens," only to ramp it back up a few months later. There was also some very bad news from the set a few weeks ago when a crew member -- Mike Bridger -- died tragically while prepping for the filming of an underwater action scene.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think. Especially what you think of Depp as Tonto.
