Lorde performs chart-topper 'Royals' on 'Good Morning America': Watch
Lorde, the 16-year-old New Zealand pop star who has become a record-breaking worldwide sensation, stopped by "Good Morning America" to perform her No. 1 hit "Royals" on Oct. 4.
"Royals" is making history as it's rocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Lorde is the youngest solo artist to hit the chart's top slot since Tiffany in 1988, and she's also the first woman to debut a No. 1 on the Hot 100 since Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" in 2012.
Perhaps more interesting is the fact that "Royals" has held the top slot of the Alternative Songs chart longer than anyone else in its 25-year history. Lorde's seven-week reign bested Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know," which previously held the record for five weeks in 1995.
After seeing this "GMA" performance, are you on board the Lorde bandwagon?
