lucky-7-review-abc.jpgABC has pulled the plug on its rookie drama "Lucky 7" after just two episodes, making it the first cancellation of the young season.

The show about a group of lottery winners -- and the unexpected consequences of their newfound wealth -- was part of a lineup of all-freshman shows on ABC on Tuesday nights. "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" and "The Goldbergs" have fared reasonably well thus far, but the "Lucky 7" and its lead-in "Trophy Wife" have struggled.

Repeats of "Scandal" will fill the 10 p.m. Tuesday spot for the time being.

Given the show's dismal ratings, ABC's move is hardly a surprise. "Lucky 7" debuted to just 4.4 million viewers and a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49; Tuesday's (Oct. 1) episode fell to just 2.6 million viewers and a 0.7 in the 18-49 demographic. The latter number was the lowest in-season rating for a first-run drama ever on ABC.

The first cancellation of the season comes a day after its first renewal: On Thursday, FOX ordered a second 13-episode season of "Sleepy Hollow" to debut next fall.
