M. Night Shyamalan heads to TV with Syfy pilot 'Proof'

Shyamalan and "Buffy the Vampire" slayer and "Glee" veteran Marti Noxon will co-write and executive produce a pilot called "Proof." The show centers on the son of a billionaire who, after his parents die, offers a big reward to anyone who can prove the existence of life after death.

The pilot is the first TV project for Shyamalan. He recently finished filming on "After Earth," which stars Will and Jaden Smith as a father and son whose spaceship crash-lands on Earth a thousand years after humans abandoned it. It's due for release in June 2013.

Noxon was a writer and consulting producer on "Glee" last season. She's also written episodes of "Mad Men" and "Private Practice" and penned the screenplay for last year's "Fright Night" remake.
