George Miller has more 'Mad Max' stories after 'Fury Road'
"In order to tell this story, we came up with two others, which we've written the screenplay of one and the novelization of another, but it's a very rough novel," Miller says at a press conference for the film. "We kept on working on them while we were working on other things."
The footage Miller showed of "Fury Road" at Comic-Con showcased the non-stop action of what is essentially going to be one long chase movie. Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult were all showcased as thugs capture Max and then he is rescued in the most action-packed way possible by Furiosa.
"The story popped in my head and just wouldn't get away," Miller says in the panel about "Fury Road." "I wanted to make one long, extended chase, and see what we could pick up about the characters along the way."
"Mad Max: Fury Road" is due in theaters on May 15, 2015.
