next-on-mad-men-poetry-time-zones.jpg "Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner is famously spoiler-averse, so much so that the show's "next on" teasers have become all but inscrutable -- a string of quick-cut non-sequiturs that say next to nothing about the next week's episode, except that often someone is telling someone else to shut the door or sit down.

The seemingly random bits of dialogue strung together brings to mind the refrigerator-magnet poetry that half your friends had in the '90s. With that in mind, Zap2it will offer up a poetic interpretation of each week's coming attractions.

This week's selection is entitled "Time Zones," after the title of Sunday's (April 13) Season 7 premiere. (AMC hasn't yet released a title for episode 2 of Season 7.)

Time Zones

A man, a typewriter, a whiskey bottle -- mark it off;
Cigarette smoke curls up from the couch; she looks back.
I appreciate you fighting
for me.
[Laugh]

Keep pretending -- that's your job,
It's Roger.

Why don't we start our own agency?
What did he say?
None of this has anything
to do
with me.

He looks back.
She's gonna find out ...
What?

Get ready.
