january-jones-mad-men-pirate-radio.jpgJanuary Jones has yet to appear on screen in Season 7 of "Mad Men," but the show tipped its hat to her in a different way in Sunday's (April 20) episode.

During a scene in which Don (Jon Hamm) is driving his daughter, Sally (Kiernan Shipka), back to boarding school, they talk a little bit about Betty (Jones) while the song "Elenore" by The Turtles plays on the radio (it was a Top 10 hit for the band in 1968). Vanity Fair points out that the song was also the music played over Jones' introduction in the movie "Pirate Radio" (aka "The Boat That Rocked"). Her character, also named Elenore, rides out to sea to marry one of the pirate DJs (Chris O'Dowd), but does so just to continue a relationship with another DJ played by Rhys Ifans.

Jones is slated to make her season debut on "Mad Men" in the April 27 episode, based on AMC's description of the episode, which reads in part, "Betty dines with a friend."

A re-edited version of Jones' "Pirate Radio" scene is below.
