'Mad Men' moonlighting: John Slattery joins 'Arrested Development,' Jon Hamm on 'Bob's Burgers'
John Slattery will guest-star on "Arrested Development," and Jon Hamm will lend his voice to "Bob's Burgers" ... as a talking toilet.
Slattery, TVLine reports, will appear in several episodes of "Arrested Development's" new season, which will launch on Netflix in 2013. No one is saying much about his role, though if he's in multiple episodes chances are his character will have significant dealings with the Bluth family.
Slattery is well-versed in comedy: Roger Sterling gets most of the funniest lines on "Mad Men," after all, and he's also appeared on "30 Rock," "Sex and the City" and "Ed," among other shows.
As for Hamm, his episode of "Bob's Burgers" is an homage to "E.T.," except with a lovable alien replaced by a talking commode.
"It's this high-end talking electronic toilet that falls off a truck and lands in the woods," creator Loren Bouchard explains to EW. "And Gene finds it, 'E.T.'-style. It's kind of a love story between a boy and a toilet."
Hamm's will be one of several big-name guest voices on "Bob's Burgers" this season.
