AMC's "Mad Men" promos are like mini master classes in elegant vagueness, and this brief Season 6 featurette continues the trend of teasing our anticipation by revealing almost nothing at all.

"Prepare to take a great leap forward," Don Draper says in one of several scenes from the show we've already seen. Don't expect an actual look at footage from Season 6 in the clip but do expect to hear creator Matt Weiner and stars including Jon Hamm, Jessica Pare and Rich Sommer share in extremely general terms what the season is about.

Weiner promises a "real journey into learning about Don," while Hamm adds: "We've set up 60 some odd episodes of television here and we're gonna see a lot of our favorite characters doing a lot of different things."

So Season 6 of "Mad Men" will have characters and things!

"It's not what you think is coming," Pare teases. "It's not coming in the way that you thought it was coming. It's probably not coming at all. Unless you were expecting more great costumes and more big hair." Proving her point, we do see the actors in costume during their interviews.

Season 6 of "Mad Men" premieres April 7 on AMC with a special two-hour episode at 9 p.m. ET. And, if you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check out the season's beautiful teaser poster.
