mad-men-trudy.jpgWhen Zap2it caught up with Alison Brie on Monday (March 12) at a "Community" press event, we just couldn't resist asking her about her other show, "Mad Men." And we're glad we did because she confirmed that her character, Trudy Campbell, will indeed be returning for the show's fifth season, which kicks off Sunday, March 25.

For the past few seasons Brie has played Pete Campbell's ( Vincent Kartheiser) upper-crusty New York wife and, when we last saw her, she had just given birth to the couple's daughter, Tammy.

What will Season 5 hold for Trudy? We're not sure, but Brie did tell us what she thinks would constitute hitting bottom for her character.

"The worst thing that could happen to Trudy would be divorce, because she takes such pride in her marriage, and in everybody's thinking that their marriage is perfect," says Brie. "Even if they didn't get divorced, I think the most devastating thing would be for someone to see through the cracks into that life ... her materialism knows no bounds."

A splinter issue for Trudy and Pete has been Trudy's parents' continued funding of their Park Avenue lifestyle and Pete's determination to make it on his own via Sterling Cooper Draper Price.

"Probably having a few more kids and perpetuating that life would probably be the best thing."
