'Mad Men's' Rich Sommer, Aimee Garcia and more cast in pilots

aimee-garcia-rich-sommer-pilot-casting-gi.jpgAnother day, another round of actors joining pilots for the next TV season. "Mad Men" star Rich Sommer is among a few actors to land new pilots, hoping they'll go to series in the fall. Deadline has all the details.

- Sommer has been cast in CBS comedy "Good Session," as the best fiend of a couple who learn quite a bit from a trip to the therapist. His character lives in the suburbs with his wife and kids.

- Aimee Garcia, last seen on "Dexter," has been cast as a member of the CIA's Counter-Terrorism Department in CBS' "Red Zone," about a retired operative forced back into work after a terror attack.

- Formerly of "Treme," Rob Brown has joined NBC's "Salvation" pilot. He will play the adopted son of Ashley Judd's Jennifer Strickland, the widow of a mega-church pastor who is trying to save the church.

- Jane Krakowski's half-hour FOX pilot "Dead Boss" has added Justine Lupe and Ravi Patel. In the show, Krakowski plays a women wrongly convicted of murder, which has comedy written all over it. Lupe will play her sister, who slowly begins taking over her life. Patel will play a co-worker of Krakowski's, who is obsessed with her.

- "American Crime," a drama written by the Oscar-winning writer of "12 Years a Slave," has cast Benito Martinez ( "The Shield") and W. Earl Brown ( "Deadwood"). Martinez portrays the man whose son is accused of killing a war veteran, while Brown plays the father of the veteran's widow.
