Madonna reportedly singing 'Vogue,' 'Ray of Light,' new single at the Super Bowl
Per CBS Sports, the current issue of NFL Magazine (the league's official publication) has this to say about the pop icon's performance Sunday: "Though Madonna's set list was not officially announced at press time, fans might expect her to give all her luvvin', provide a ray of light and be in vogue with her music," the magazine quips.
Presumably you spotted the (not at all) subtle references to the song titles in that sentence, but for the record, the NFL is saying Madonna will sing "Gimme All Your Luvin'" from her forthcoming album "M.D.N.A." and past hits "Ray of Light" and "Vogue."
( Nicki Minaj, who appears on "Gimme All Your Luvin,'" has said she'll be part of the show as well.)
The halftime show typically runs about 12 minutes, which means Madonna could potentially squeeze one more song ("Material Girl"? "Lucky Star"? "Like a Virgin," just to make the league and NBC executives uncomfortable?) into the set. Those three tunes could easily fill the time on their own, though.
The game kicks off about 6:25 p.m. ET Sunday on NBC.
