Madonna to perform at Super Bowl according to report
Madonna is set to perform during the midway point of Super Bowl XLVI according to SBNation.com.
A performance by the 53-year-old "Material Girl" continues the NFL's recent tradition hiring musical legends to perform between halves. Over the last 10 years, the Super Bowl halftime has hosted such artists as The Who, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen. This move toward securing older artists came in response to the notorious Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake "wardrobe malfunction" of 2004.
The big game this year will take place on Feb. 5, 2012 in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
