Madonna's Super Bowl single: 'Give Me All Your Luvin'

Expectations are pretty high for Madonna's upcoming Super Bowl halftime show and just in time to build buzz for the weekend, the official video for Madonna's new single has hit the Web.

The single, "Give Me All Your Lovin'" features two women whose careers would probably not have been possible without Madge's groundbreaking work: Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. We like that. And the song, which is undeniably catchy. We're also fans of Nicki Minaj's Adidas logo bra cups and M.I.A.'s curse-strewn rap snippet.

What doesn't work so well is Madonna singing the song. Somehow lyrics like, "Don't play the stupid game because I'm a different kind of girl," seem incongruous coming out of the mouth of a 53-year-old woman.

And "Every record sounds the same, you've gotta step into my world," too, sounds out of place in a standard pop song that, umm, could have been released by anyone from Britney Spears to Rebecca Black. Maybe she's going for ironic?

Also, the whole nursing a baby doll thing while dancing around on stage? Don't get it.
