The couple said "I do" in a small chapel in Italy on Saturday, May 2, reports People.
Maggie Gyllenhaal, 31, and Sarsgaard, 38, became engaged in April 2006 after dating for four years. The have 2-1/2-year-old daughter, Ramona, together.
Although they costarred in 2003's indie feature "In God's Hands," they're known for their individual resumes.
Gyllenhaal made a name for herself as the titular submissive in 2002's "Secretary" opposite James Spader.
