Malin Ackerman was pregnant when she filmed the pilot for "Trophy Wife." When she first met her Italian husband, they communicated only via "the language of love." It's safe to say that Ackerman was an entertaining guest on "Live with Kelly and Michael" on Friday (Oct. 25).

Host Kelly Ripa was excited to talk to Ackerman about having an Italian-speaking husband. Apparently, both women think that "it's a very sexy language" (as Malin Ackerman explained it).

The actress even found the language so sexy that it attracted her to her now-husband, even before either could speak the other's language! "The language of love, that was it," Ackerman said of the early days of her relationship. "We sat there with a dictionary -- literally with a dictionary -- trying to understand one another. Because he didn't speak English and I didn't speak Italian."

Eventually, however, Ackerman's husband learned English and the actress learned Italian. The success of their relationship can be seen in a first baby, Sebastian, born in April. With this date, the "Live" hosts realized that she was already pregnant when "Trophy Wife" filmed its pilot. "I was five months pregnant. Did you notice the flowy tops?" Ackerman asked.

The conversation turned to "Trophy Wife" with that, and Ackerman seemed happy to praise her co-stars, especially Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden and young Albert Tsai, who plays her younger stepson, Bert. "He has never done another TV show in his whole life," exclaimed Ackerman. She also pointed out that, while Bert gets animal books read to him, the real Tsai has more sophisticated tastes. "The book that he's reading right now is about stock markets. He's 9 years old," said Ackerman.

"Trophy Wife" airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on ABC.
