manhattan-hulu-streaming.jpgWGN America's new drama "Manhattan" has struck a streaming deal with Hulu, making the site the exclusive home for online viewing of the show.

New episodes will be available on the subscription-based Hulu Plus a day after they air on WGN America, with all of Season 1 eventually available for your binge-viewing needs. Episodes will show up on the free Hulu site three days after air, with five episodes at a time available at no charge.

The deal marks the first time Hulu has picked up rights to a show before it aired. "After seeing the episodes, and enjoying every minute, I knew this series represented the kind of high-quality, addictive programming that we strive to bring to Hulu," Hulu's senior VP and head of content Craig Erwich says in a statement.

"Manhattan," which stars John Benjamin Hickey and Olivia Williams, centers on the scientists working on the Manhattan Project in New Mexico in 1943 and the strain the secrecy of their work takes on them personally. It premiered Sunday (July 27) on WGN America (whose parent company also owns Zap2it) to mostly strong reviews.
