Mariah Yeater drops Justin Bieber paternity suit

justin-bieber-suit-dropped.jpgAfter a push-back from Justin Bieber and his lawyer, the woman who claimed she had a child with Bieber has dropped her paternity suit against the pop star.

Mariah Yeater dismissed her paternity suit late last week, TMZ reports. The site also says Yeater's lawyers have withdrawn from the case.

Yeater made headlines earlier this month when she filed the suit. It claimed that she and Bieber, who was then 16, had sex backstage at one of his concerts in Los Angeles in October 2010. She gave birth to a baby boy in July.

Bieber and his lawyer, Howard Weitzman, then threatened to sue Yeater, and Biebs also said he'd take a DNA test to prove the baby was not his. Yeater might have also faced potential statutory rape charges, as the age of consent in California is 18.

We were sort of hoping the situation would lead to a Bieber cover of "Billie Jean," but we guess that won't happen now.
