Former "Entertainment Tonight" host Mark Steines has split from his wife of 17 years, Leanza Cornett. The couple has released a statement about their upcoming divorce in which they say their main concern in for their children: Kai Harper, 10, and Avery "A.J. James, 9.

"After a great deal of thought and consideration, we have decided to dissolve our 17-year marriage," the duo says in a statement released to Us Weekly. "At this time our concern is for our boys as we help them with this difficult transition. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."

Steines and Cornett first met in 1995, the same year he became an "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent. It's sad that they have split not long after he left the program, as he departed on July 27, 2012. Steines now hosts "Home & Family" on the Hallmark Channel with Cristina Ferrare.
