With the production start announcement came a batch of previously unannounced casting news. New faces to the Marvel Cinematic Universe include "Married's" Judy Greer, "Boardwalk Empire's" Bobby Cannavale, "The Wire's" Wood Harris, rapper T.I., David Dastmalchian, Gregg Turkington and Abby Ryder Fortson.

"Mad Men" star John Slattery will also have a role in the movie. At press time Disney hadn't responded to Zap2it's request for clarification as to whether he will be reprising his "Iron Man 2" role as Howard Stark or playing a new character.

"Ant-Man" stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. Peyton Reed took on directing duties after Edgar Wright's exit on June 7. The film is due in theaters on July 17, 2015.

The official synopsis for the movie reads: "Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."

At 2014 San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige shared to Zap2it that he's excited for "Ant-Man" to be a "heist" movie as well as being a passing-of-the-torch film, "which we haven't done before." Watch Reed, Rudd and star Corey Stoll talk about the movie below:
