Marvel has found the villain for their upcoming 13-episode "Daredevil" series on Netflix. Vincent D'Onofrio has been cast as Kingpin, a classic Marvel villain that is often at odds with both Daredevil and Spider-Man.

The news comes from EW, which reports the former "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" star will star as Wilson Fisk, the powerful businessman who goes by the alter ego of Kingpin. He will oppose blind lawyer Matt Murdoch, who fights crime under the guise of Daredevil. It was previously revealed that Charlie Cox will play Murdoch.

Kingpin has been portrayed twice before in live action projects. In 1989's "The trial of the Incredible Hulk," a TV movie, John Rhys-Davies played the role. More recently, Michael Clarke Duncan starred in the 2003 "Daredevil" movie as Fisk.

"Daredevil" is expected to launch in 2015 on Netflix.
