One of the exciting things from filming HBO's "The Normal Heart" had to be when the Defense of Marriage Act was repealed during filming.
"It was amazing to be there on that day," Bomer says. "It was one of the celebratory scenes we got to shoot in the film, which thank God because I was doing that Kevin Bacon like elbow to knee dance that day and I was doing it a little extra hard because I was so excited. But Larry was there and he took the microphone, Larry Kramer who wrote the piece, and he said we did it and in so many ways he was partly responsible for that day happening, so it was just one of those moments where you feel like youre in the right place at the right time."
Even more fun occurs when the subject of the "Magic Mike" sequel comes up. "It's kind of a road-trip film that leads to a stripper convention, which really exists," Bomer explains. "Only the best of the best make it -- and it's a strip-off to the death."
