The upcoming biopic about Steve Jobs has simultaneously cast Jobs' pal and adversary. Matt Modine has signed on to play former Apple CEO John Sculley in "Jobs," this according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Sculley was recruited by Jobs to lead Apple in 1983. It was only two years later that Sculley fired Jobs from the company he founded in 1976 with Steve Wozniak. Ashton Kutcher is already confirmed to play Jobs and Josh Gad will star as Wozniak.
"It's my feeling -- and I think there's a lot of people who feel -- that had John Sculley not fired Steve Jobs from Apple Computer and [let] Steve go on the journey that he did when he was away from Apple Computer, that we wouldn't be speaking about Steve Jobs today," Modine says.
The film, directed by Joshua Michael Stern, will follow Jobs' journey from computer tinkerer to one of the most influential people in technology.
