Maundy Thursday: Pop culture Last Suppers from 'The Simpsons,' 'Lost' and more
The word "maundy" comes from the Latin word for commandment,"mandatum." It is used because of the instruction Jesus Christ gave his Apostles that humans should love one another.
The Last Supper scene, most famously depicted in the above 1499 Milan, Italy mural by Leonardo da Vinci, has been replicated over and over. Not only in art pieces, but also in pop culture. As an entertainment site, we thought we'd take a look at those depictions. Let us know if we missed any.
