Mayweather vs Cotto: Floyd Mayweather wins the match
Mayweather still managed to protect his 42-0 record against his opponent in 12 rounds and 36 minutes. Mayweather's signature moves were effective against Cotto in the first few rounds, but the younger fighter got smart and stayed around the outside, causing Mayweather to falter a bit. He came back in the end and won with a unanimous decision. Now? Off to jail to serve an 87-day sentence in a domestic case, which may be reduced to 57 days with good behavior.
"When I'm gone away, I can sit down and write down a lot of my ideas," Mayweather tells MLive. "Come up with some more amazing ideas for my company and for the sport of boxing. That's what it's about, I'm the face of boxing."
