Meet Billy Brown of 'Hostages': Marlin Perkins is his spirit animal and 15 more things to know

billy-brown-hostages-ones-to-watch.jpg Billy Brown, who brought a cool sense of menace to "Sons of Anarchy" last season, doubles down on his tough-guy persona in CBS' new drama "Hostages."

Brown plays Archer, a member of a team of kidnappers who take a surgeon ( Toni Collette) and her family hostage. Their demand: She's to kill the president of the United States when she operates on him.

The action in Monday's (Sept. 23) series premiere focuses on Collette and Dylan McDermott as the leader of the kidnappers, but Brown -- whose credits also include "Dexter" and "Lights Out" -- looms large whenever he's on screen. For that reason, he's one of Zap2it's Ones to Watch for the 2013-14 season, and though he's pretty serious on screen, Brown shows a much lighter side in a questionnaire with us.
