mad-men-charlie-hofheimer.jpgOn "Mad Men," Charlie Hofheimer plays Abe Drexler -- Peggy Olson's ( Elisabeth Moss') counterculture journalist boyfriend. On Sunday's (March 25) Season 5 premiere, he accompanied Peggy to Don's 40th birthday surprise party and stood by uncomfortably as a slightly drunk Peggy dissed Don for not standing up for her bean ballet ad campaign.

But, astute TV watchers may have also noticed Hofheimer on another awesome Sunday night show: CBS' "The Good Wife."

He played Officer Zimmerman, a Chicago cop who shot a black civilian and was being investigated to make sure the shooting was proper. Alicia ( Julianna Margulies) posited that Zimmerman took a gun from a two-year-old jewelry store robbery and planted it on the shooting victim to make it look like he was shooting in self-defense.

Hofheimer has had guest spots on a slew of TV dramas, including "Without a Trace," "Cold Case," "Eli Stone," "House," "Medium," "NCIS" and "Law & Order: SVU."

Look for him in more "Mad Men" and in the upcoming Brittany Snow creepfest (and possibly straight to DVD) movie "Would You Rather."
