Meghan McCain's first on-air interview: Michele Bachmann

meghan-mccain-michele-bachmann.jpg Meghan McCain -- daughter of one-time presidential candidate John McCain -- has recently landed a gig as a correspondent and contributor for MSNBC, and for her first on-air interview... she sat down with highly controversial GOP candidate Michele Bachmann.

In January, McCain referred to Bachmann as "no better than a poor man's Sarah Palin" on the air. "I think it's important to note that Michele Bachmann is not a leader, and she's not the leader of the Repbulican Party," she said at the time, upset that CNN aired her tea party rebuttal. "I think CNN should be ashamed of themselves for airing this. It is one rogue woman who couldn't even look into the camera directly."

McCain says that her interview with Bachmann will "soon" air on the midday show, "Now With Alex Wagner." She tweeted that her morning with Bachmann was "wonderful" and shared the above photo with followers.
