Fox knows E! didn't mean any harm with its Golden Globes "fun fact" blunder -- a snippet about his Parkinsons diagnosis ran during the network's red carpet coverage under the heading "fun fact" -- and he opened up about the snafu on the "Late Show with David Letterman."

After the error occurred, "They wrote me a letter and they made a generous donation to the foundation," Fox tells David Letterman, "and they sent this letter of apology and they sent this box of gummy candies."

The star of the now-canceled "Michael J. Fox Show" wrote a letter back saying he didn't take offense. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine, and fun fact: I love gummies."

It appears E! will have a much better fun fact for Fox's next red carpet. Watch Fox discuss the incident below.
