Michael Rooker poses with 'The Walking Dead' hand, David Morrissey wants to eat it

Former "The Walking Dead" star Michael Rooker has a special companion for New Year's Eve: something that looks a whole lot like the severed hand of Merle Dixon. The actor took to Twitter to show the prop as a nod to his former TV show.

"Look what I have .... " he tweets.

The hand picture caught another former "Walking Dead" cast member's attention. David Morrissey, best known as the Governor, responds, "Looks like lunch to me!"

Could this be a hint of how the Governor might return in Season 4? Spoilers: Though Lilly shot him through the head at the end of the show's midseason finale, the whole idea of a severed hand looking like lunch could imply the Governor will be back as a walker.

Or, admittedly, it could just be Morrissey having a little fun.

"The Walking Dead" returns to AMC on Feb. 9 at 9 p.m.
