Michigan primary results: Mitt Romney wins by just 3%, with a more comfortable win in Arizona
Early estimates put Romney at winning with 41 percent of the vote to Santorum's 38. "A week ago, the pundits and pollsters were ready to count us out," Romney told supporters in Michigan on Tuesday. "I was confident that we could come together today and take a giant step toward a brighter future."
Though it was a close call in Michigan, the Arizona primary was a far more comfortable win for Romney -- which is significant, because in Arizona, the winner takes all 29 delegates (as opposed to a proportional number of the 30 Michigan delegates).
