Mick Jagger love letters go for more than $300,000 at auction
A private collector paid £187,250 (about $301,500) for the letters, which Hunt put up for auction with Sotheby's. Jagger sent them to her in the summer of 1969 while he was filming the movie "Ned Kelly" in Australia.
"The letters speak for Mick at an incredible juncture of our lives," Hunt tells the Guardian. "Someone, I hope, will buy those letters as our generation is dying and with us will go the reality of who we were and what life was."
Hunt is reportedly the inspiration for the Rolling Stones song "Brown Sugar." She and Jagger have a daughter, Karis, together and have remained in contact over the years.
Hunt says she put the letters up for auction because she needs money to repair her house in France.
