Mila Kunis' Marine Corps date: Kunis helped celebrate the lives of fallen soldiers

mila-kunis-usmc-ball.jpgMarine Sergeant Scott Moore started a bit of a movement when he invited Mila Kunis to last weekend's USMC ball via a YouTube video during her media extravaganza for "Friends With Benefits."

At the urging of her co-star, Justin Timberlake, Kunis accepted Moore's invitation as a blind date.

"More blind for her, probably, than me," Moore joked on Monday's "Good Morning America " after the event. "It was a blast. It was a great time. It exceeded my expectations."

Of all the celebs in all the world, Moore says he picked Mila because "she's obviously a pretty girl." Obviously! He notes that he was surprised by how down-to-earth she is, and that he appreciated how interested she was in military traditions and history.

Her presence was a bright spot for Moore and his friends after a difficult and tragic tour in Afghanistan. "We lost six marines and one sailor," he says. "It was a great opportunity for us to celebrate their lives together." Moore introduced Kunis to a marine who lost his leg in an IED blast. "He had a great time and got to meet her, and she got to meet his wife as well... it was very memorable."

There was no goodnight kiss, but Moore says he and Kunis plan to keep in touch.
