Miley Cyrus: 'BANGERZ' album art and new single, 'Wrecking Ball'

Miley Cyrus has released album art for her upcoming album, "BANGERZ," as well as a new single, "Wrecking Ball," in advance for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. Cyrus could walk away a winner at the event, so the timing is excellent.

"Wrecking Ball," a more emotional tune than Miley's first single, "We Can't Stop," and seems to be a relationship song. Following staccato-inflected verses, the chorus of "Wrecking Ball" reflects the pain of a relationship gone bad:

"I came in like a wrecking ball / I never hit so hard in love / All I wanted was to break your walls / All you ever did was break me / Yeah, you wreck me"

You can listen to the track below

"You Wreck Me" is currently available for purchase with a pre-order of the album. With the full album of "BANGERZ" not out until Oct. 8, isolated tracks and album art may be all that fans get for awhile.

That album art shows Miley Cyrus rocking her punk look in images that have a decidedly '80s feel to them. The color scheme is total "Miami Vice" (ask your parents, kids), while Miley's pale makeup and bright red lipstick evoke more than one music video from the early MTV era.

miley-cyrus-bangerz-song-album-art-1.jpg Writing on Twitter about the album in early August, Cyrus explained the naming of "BANGERZ": "If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ."
Cyrus did not, unfortunately, explain what "bangerz" means.
