Miranda Lambert accused of violent threats by boutique neighbor
Miranda Lambert has had a tough week. First she and hubby Blake Shelton had to shrug off cheating rumors, and now she's having allegations of violence leveled against her.
This new story comes courtesy of The National Enquirer, so it must be taken with a grain of salt. According to Melanie Peden, the woman who recently opened an antique shop next to Lambert's Tishomingo, Okla. boutique the Pink Pistol, the country music singer threatened to punch her over a property dispute.
"She just walked around the place scowling at everything and finally blurted out that I stole this property from her," Peden tells the Inquirer of Lambert's alleged visit to her shop. "I knew she was inquiring about this property -- FOUR YEARS AGO -- but she never had a contract with a realtor. I was shocked when she became so angry with me for buying it so many years later."
She adds, "She had a complete meltdown and threatened to 'punch me in the mouth' if I kept talking. I was stunned and a little bit scared too, because she was growling and yelling at me like a crazy lady. She's got a real anger problem and needs help. But I stood my ground and asked her to leave my store."
Police are reportedly investigating the tale, though Lambert and her representatives have remained mum on the subject. We'll stick this one in the "innocent until proven guilty" rumor category for now.
