‪Miss Universe winner 2013: Miss Venezuela Gabriela Isler takes the crown‬

‪ miss-universe-2013-miss-venezuela-gabriela-isler-winner.jpgThe 2013 Miss Universe Competition has come and gone, naming the successor to 2012's reigning champ Olivia Culpo in Moscow, Russia on Saturday (Nov. 9). So, who took the crown?‬

‪None other than Miss Venezuela, Gabriela Isler. The 25-year-old beauty came out on top, besting runner-up Miss Spain, Patricia Rodrigues, and fan-favorite Miss Philippines, Ariella Arida, who placed fourth.‬

‪Isler's answer to judge Steven Tyler's question in the final round (What is your biggest fear and how do you plan to overcome it?) was a bit shaky, as she never directly answered, but her performance in the evening wear competition was stellar. Her gorgeous gown, one of only two to have sleeves, was sleek, silver ‬and something she had a hand in designing, which likely scored her extra points.

According to her bio on the Miss Universe website, Isler began taking flamenco lessons as a child, but currently works as a talent on the Venevision TV Network. She has a niece and "considers herself a second mother to the child." She "values being at home" above anything else and believes motherhood to be "the hardest profession in life."

Check out a few of the new Miss Universe's looks from the competition below. Do you think Isler deserved to win the title? Or should another contestant have come out on top?
