Model Kendra Spears to become a princess when she marries Prince Rahim Aga Khan
His Highness the Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslims, announced this week on his website that Spears is going to marry his son, Prince Rahim Aga Khan.
The announcement says that Rahim, 42, attended Brown University and then the Navarra Business School in Spain. He works in poverty reduction through the Aga Khan Development Network, which is a series of agencies that fosters social, cultural and economic development in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Spears, 24, grew up in Seattle and earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Washington. The two will be wed in a traditional Muslim ceremony, but no date has been set yet.
"Thank you all for the kind tweets! We're very excited!," tweets Spears, after news of her impending nuptials hit the internet.
