'Modern Family' Season 3 finale: Haley has some big news
The season finale of "Modern Family" is called "Baby on Board," and the A-story brings Mitchell and Cam's ( Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet) fitful, season-long endeavor to adopt another baby to a conclusion.
But we're kind of more interested in the fact that Claire ( Julie Bowen) is likely to drop dead from a heart attack when she hears Haley's ( Sarah Hyland) plans for the future, which she lays out in the video above. (Plus, the clip also features Phil ( Ty Burrell) dancing.)
We're speaking figuratively -- it's a comedy, after all, so suddenly killing a main character is probably not in the cards. But Bowen is often at her best when Claire is trying hardest to contain her judginess, and we suspect there will be a lot of that happening when Haley tells her parents she wants to move in with Dylan ( Reid Ewing) after she graduates from high school.
Mitchell and Cam's story, meanwhile, will involve Gloria ( Sofia Vergara) acting as their translator when they get close to finalizing an adoption, which leaves Jay ( Ed O'Neill) and Manny ( Rico Rodriguez) in charge of Lily ( Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) for the day.
The "Modern Family" finale airs at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday (May 23) on ABC. Which storyline are you most looking forward to seeing?
