More than a year and a half after 16-year-old "Modern Family" star Ariel Winter was moved out of her mom's home and in with her sister, the latter has been named her permanent guardian. Winter was originally removed from her mother's home in light of physical and emotional abuse allegations.
According to the AP, Winter's mother, Chrisoula Workman, agreed to cease her objections to the guardianship agreement if the actress would watch a video montage of family photos. The judge agreed and the case was closed. Workman maintains she did not abuse her daughter.
Winter's father will retain control over her finances, while making reports to the court. Further, the judge on the case is retaining jurisdiction until she turns 18.
