- "Modern Family" stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell will be your hosts for the Billboard Music Awards, which air May 20 on ABC. They'll take over as hosts from Ken Jeong, who emceed the 2011 show. [ABC]

- HBO has renewed "Real Time with Bill Maher" for two more seasons. The pickup is part of a new three-year deal Maher has with HBO and ensures that "Real Time" will continue through 2014. [HBO]

- "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter is turning his attention to real-life outlaws in a new Discovery series called "Kurt Sutter's Outlaw Empires." The show, which debuts May 14, will delve into the rise and sometimes fall of groups ranging from the Crips gang to the Irish mob. [Discovery]
