Molly Shannon to star in, produce new FOX mother-daughter comedy
Molly Shannon will soon be starring in a new TV series. The "Saturday Night Live" alum will both topline and produce an untitled single-camera comedy that was put into development at FOX.
The project will be written by Shannon's "Superstar" director Bruce McCulloch. According to Deadline, the series is about Shannon's character Fiona who, "at the top of her professional career, clashes with her stay-at-home pregnant daughter."
Shannon has been a familiar and welcome face on television in recent years. In addition to her upcoming recurring role on "Raising Hope," she also she earned an Emmy nomination for her guest spot on "Enlightened" and reprised her role as Janet on "The Middle." Are you glad she is getting a new show?
