MTV EMAs 2013: Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' without Miley Cyrus is much more boringAdd to Favorites | 2013 MTV EMA's
Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke took the world by storm (and horrified it) with their medley performance of "We Can't Stop"/"Blurred Lines"/"Give It 2 U" at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, but at least the performance was entertaining to watch.
When Thicke took to the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards on Nov. 10, his rendition of the same song was lethargic and boring as he was surrounded by mostly nude backup dancers and had Iggy Azalea take to the stage to sing with him.
Thicke clearly learned his lesson about twerking with female singers at the VMAs, because he stayed far away from Azalea while performing "Blurred Lines" and then headed to a piano to sing "Feel Good." It's unclear why exactly he was sweating so much during this performance, but at least people shouldn't find fault with him being inappropriate this time around.
As for Cyrus, her performance of "We Can't Stop" was similarly neutered, but at least she managed to shock when she twerked with a little person and had a group that looked like the crew at the Mos Eisley Cantina join her on stage. Stay weird, MTV music awards shows.
